We conduct business transactions in a straightforward and honest manner and with active knowledge of and affirmative compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.

We understand the PCA is a plumbing contractor association and, therefore, understand most programming will be formatted as such.

We will conduct ourselves with the highest civility at all association meetings and events and show respect to all association officers, members and guests.

We encourage our personnel to be proactively involved in and otherwise supportive of association and community based activities and to conduct themselves appropriately at such functions.

We shall generously cooperate by sharing the benefits of experience and “know how” with fellow members to the end that the general efficiency of all shall be improved.

We respect the integrity of business relationships between Contractor and Associate members and conduct our business with a sense of fair play.

We will not engage in behavior that constitutes a restraint of trade.

In the case of a dispute between members of the Association, we agree to participate in non-binding mediation through the Association to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute. We treat our customers, competitors and vendors with respect and integrity.

We shall never, by any deliberate act, or by various means or inducements, attract employees from the employ of other members of the Association.

We agree to fulfill our business commitments in a complete, timely and quality manner.

We do not solicit business at PCA social functions.

We agree to cease use of the Association’s logos or to advertise our Associate Membership should that membership terminate for any reason.

We agree that we will respect and will not deliberately negatively affect any organization with which the PCA Midwest is affiliated – including but not limited to: CISCO (Construction Industry Service Corp.); CCSC (Chicagoland Construction Safety Council); Illinois PHCC (Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association State Chapter); IMSCA (Illinois Mechanical & Specialty Contractors Association); MCAA (Mechanical Contractors Association of America); and/or the National PHCC.

We agree that if the PCA Board at its sole discretion determines we have (whether deliberately or not) undermined or diminished the reputation and/or ability of any these organizations to fulfill their role/mission, we will be subject to the immediate suspension of our Associate membership in the PCA.

The Plumbing Contractors Association Midwest reserves the right to deny, suspend or terminate membership in an association for any Associate member who knowingly violates this Code of Conduct and fails to promptly and properly rectify any violations.

Applications for Associate Membership and/or renewal of Associate Membership in the PCA Midwest are granted solely at the discretion and with the approval of the PCA Midwest Board. Associate Membership in the PCA Midwest is a privilege, not a right, and can be terminated at any time with or without cause by the PCA Midwest Board.

Annual dues refunds may be issued to terminated Associate members, if requested, on a pro-rata basis.

All Associate Member applications to be presented to the PCA Midwest Board will require a written recommendation on company letterhead received by the Association’s Executive Director from a PCA Midwest Contractor Member in good standing which explains the value or service to PCA plumbing contractor Members and states why the Associate Member applicant (company or organization) merits the Board’s consideration.
