The next PCA Membership Meeting will take place on Thursday, January 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM. This meeting will occur online due to Illinois' COVID-19 restrictions and for the overall health and safety of our membership. This event (at no cost) is open to all PCA members (and their staff) and PCA Associate members. PCA President Matt Erickson will lead the meeting on many informative industry topics and answer questions from the audience.
As a result of the rising number of COVID-19 cases, in an effort to keep everyone safe, effective immediately all night school classes for both 4th year classes and supplemental classes have been cancelled until further notice. Reviews for the License Exams will still be held, but students will only be able to attend if they are signed up to take the exam. Day school classes will remain open. Daytime apprentices will continue to follow safety protocols and attend day school by wearing their masks and maintaining social distance as well as washing their hands often.
The PCA has recently been informed by several of our contractors that they have been experiencing technical difficulties renewing their Illinois Plumbing Contractor Registration on the IDPH website.
Chicago Mayor Lightfoot recently announced an initiative to launch the City’s long-awaited Lead Service Line Replacement Program. The City is offering two methods of City-assisted replacement: The Equity Lead Service Line Replacement Program for low-income residents and the Homeowner-Initiated Lead Service Line Replacement Program.

Senate Bill 75, Public Act 101-0221 was signed into law by Governor Pritzker in August 2019. Under this Act, Illinois employers are required to train employees on sexual harassment prevention by December 31, 2020, and on an annual basis thereafter.
